Welcome
The Adaptive Riding Program, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to making adaptive horseback riding and horsemanship accessible to individuals of all abilities.
Our adaptive sessions provide participants with meaningful opportunities to engage in equine-assisted activities where they learn horsemanship skills both on the ground and in the saddle. Each session is designed to foster self-advocacy, intellectual engagement, physical strength, and emotional growth for individuals with physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges.
Every lesson plan is carefully tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each rider. Under the guidance of qualified adaptive riding instructors, participants progress through a structured curriculum — developing balance, confidence, coordination, and connection as they build skills and relationships that extend far beyond the barn.
Our Programs
Adaptive Riding offers mounted and unmounted opportunities to blend skill building, recreation, and education in a supportive environment. Adaptive Horsemanship offers unmounted and ground handling opportunities to develop coordination, emotional connection and non- verbal communication facilitating mental health and overall wellness outcomes.
