Welcome
The Adaptive Riding Program, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to making adaptive horseback riding and horsemanship accessible to individuals of all abilities.
Our adaptive sessions provide clients with the opportunity to participate in equine-assisted activities that build confidence, coordination, and connection. Riders learn horsemanship skills both on the ground and in the saddle, developing meaningful relationships with their horses while strengthening physical, cognitive, and emotional skills.
Each lesson plan is individually tailored to meet the unique needs, goals, and abilities of every participant. Under the guidance of qualified adaptive riding instructors, riders progress through a structured curriculum that begins with foundational horsemanship and advances toward greater independence and self-assurance.
Our ultimate goal is to foster self-advocacy, engagement, and physical empowerment—helping each rider achieve their fullest potential in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
Our Programs
Adaptive Riding offers mounted and unmounted opportunities to blend skill building, recreation, and education in a supportive environment. Adaptive Horsemanship offers unmounted and ground handling opportunities to develop coordination, emotional connection and non- verbal communication facilitating mental health and overall wellness outcomes.
