Samantha Edgin
Owner, Instructor, Coach, Judge
Sam Edgin was born and raised in farm life. She got an early start riding horses under the guidance of her mother, Julie and other skilled trainers. She enjoyed many successful years competing in 4H and AQHA shows before deciding to switch paths, becoming a trainer for up-and-coming riders and their horses. Sam is a talented all around rider, but showed a true love for the Over fences classes and Reining.
A dedicated mother and business owner, Sam can often be found hunting for new ways to improve the farm – including ending a busy day by jumping in the truck and heading cross-country to buy the next great lesson horse. She is able to work with clients of all ages, but has a true passion for working with youth and amateur riders.

Working Students
At J & S Performance Horses, we’re proud of our working students who help keep the farm running smoothly. The Working Students Program gives a limited number of dedicated students the opportunity for volunteer work, experience, and community service hours while building their riding, training and horsemanship skills. In exchange for their time, working students can earn monthly lesson credits, to be used the following month.

Barn Dads
Life at J & S Performance Horses wouldn’t be the same without our Barn Dads. What started out as one dad looking to help his daughter earn more horse riding time has quickly become a group of kind, generous and (most importantly) strong farm handymen. Whatever the task, big or small, we can count on the Barn Dads to help us get it done. But don’t worry – they always find time for a quick drink or a ride when the job’s done.
